A little bit about Lonni

Hi, I’m Jalonni Weaver, a neurodivergent mama, faith-based content creator, Talent Consultant, career strategist, educator, and intrapreneur passionate about helping professionals build meaningful careers without sacrificing who they are.

With over six years of experience in talent acquisition, I’ve recruited across sales, corporate, and technical roles, giving me a unique perspective on what hiring managers are really looking for. Throughout my career, I’ve helped thousands of professionals navigate job searches, strengthen their personal brands, and confidently pursue new opportunities.

I’m the creator of The Career Playbook and the founder of the Chit Chats with Lonni newsletter, where I teach practical career education rooted in real-world recruiting experience, not trends or fluff. I also help professionals embrace intrapreneurship, showing them how to build influence, create opportunities, and develop a personal brand while thriving in their corporate careers. My mission is to help people authentically show up at work, advocate for themselves, and create careers that extend beyond a job title.

My work has been featured in Forbes, CNBC Make It, USA Today, Essence, and MSN, and I’ve had the opportunity to speak at conferences and teach professionals around the world how to leverage LinkedIn, build authentic personal brands, and take ownership of their careers.

I believe success isn’t about choosing between corporate and entrepreneurship. It’s about intentionally designing a career and life that align with your values, your goals, and the season you’re in.

Whether you’re looking to land your next role, build your personal brand, embrace intrapreneurship, or simply be part of a community where we talk about careers, faith, motherhood, and everything in between, I’m glad you’re here.

Timeline

How I got here

College

I graduated college with a $40,000 degree and couldn’t get a job.

Home

Moved back home with my mom. Childcare in the morning, UPS at night.

Janitor

A janitor role at a large consulting firm paid more — 8 to 12 hours a day.

Aviation

Front-line aviation work — hands dirty in 110 degree weather.

Pandemic

Left aviation for Chick-fil-A — asking teenagers how to take orders on an iPad.

School

Contract call-center work with no guarantee. Went back for my master’s — more debt, but it opened a door.

Recruiting

Talent Acquisition internship at 26. Fortune 500 recruiting across sales, corporate, and technical roles — thousands of resumes, interviews, and hires.

Community

Shared what I saw from the recruiter’s seat. Practical advice and the things nobody tells you. That community is 430,000+ strong.

Press

Forbes, USA TODAY, CNBC Make It, Essence, LinkedIn News — plus a Times Square billboard.

Stage

Spoke about being neurodivergent in corporate spaces that weren’t built for people like me.

Business

Speaking, brand partnerships (Stanley, Lyft, Teal, Juicebox), digital products, and education — $100K+ in partnerships, none chased.

Teaching

Built a LinkedIn Branding & Monetization course with Maven — grow a brand without gambling your 9-to-5.

Why

I’ve been overlooked, underpaid, misunderstood. Someone took a chance on me — now I make it my mission to do the same for others.
